I cast a spell and then you appeared it was many moons since I lived in fear That I wouldn't feel happy again that I couldn't fall in love again But am I more attracted to your Symbols than the way that you move And are you trying to live in the night So you don't have to face the sun light I've got to hold my breath Until there is nothing left maybe then I'll wake up and I'll be back to the place where you met me I had a dream and then we met And our first kiss was as good as it gets But you're telling me you don't know what you want So I'm training to be just as nonchalant But am I more attracted to your Rituals than the words that you use But it's hard not to fall for your eyes Cause when I look into them, I feel synchronized

Never Again 03:16
Every time I see a rainbow I honor it With a photograph Luckily I can Still find beauty but Never again Will I hear your laugh Every time I find an empty page I write about Your stoic face Even though I am fully aware that Never again Will I feel your embrace Never again will I find Bouquets waiting for me from you Never again will I sleep In fields of rosemary with you Never again will I feel your heartbeat Never again will you call me baby Never again will I write you love songs Never again will you say you love me

Summerland 03:26
Two days ago, I saw you dancing in an empty room fancy with your taffeta I’ll always remember you with a cigar in your hand as you're gardening with the other When you walked into the room, there were pillars of dolls and fabrics incense burning everywhere But your favorite thing was when hundreds of ravens gather to sing a song at sunset When the moon grew to be full she asked if you needed a hand it was time for her to guide you down to the fields of Summerland Every night In my dreams I drown in My memories So each day I'm looking For signs that You're at ease And when we're Reunited In the jade Green meadows I hope by Then you have Forgotten Your sorrows Waterbearer, Rest In Peace

It was 12 AM before You had the chance to notice me But that's ok with me cause It gave me a chance to Listen to your words & pretend they're about me Imagining my hands were The ones touching your hair It was 5 AM and I Was gonna be the last to leave But you had another idea Hidden up your jumpsuit sleeve Never thought that This would happen Never think that You would want me Never want to Push a friendship If I think that It could haunt me So you turned to me and said Something I thought that you'd never say to me Are you waiting for me to kiss you It was 10 AM when I Woke up in your all white bed Wondering about the thoughts Running through your perfect head Was it really real Or had I been dreaming Did you really say You could be Mr. Brinkmann It was 12 PM and we Were never gonna get that brunch But I know I'll see you again Cause I've got that witchy hunch The next time it will be up to me To be the one to say to you that I'm not waiting for you to kiss me

I used to write On backs of receipts Soft words of remorse My sighs of defeat I dreamed to weave These odes to loss In songs for graves In poems for moss It feels too close To the veils Of death For me to speak In the same breath Of angst I've wasted On mouths I've tasted And the souls I've witnessed Snuffed out of existence So now I stand tall just like a stone With my camera In bars alone Distract me please, Wave that magic wand Raze that moment when she Ceased to carry on She's not the only one Deep down I always knew She's not the only one Deep down I always knew

Tungsten / Neon / Sunset / Till Dawn Front row seats to your third eye High on your words til I die Did you know I can also see My whole world better, baby, when you're with me You're my / Ideal lighting lover Tungsten / Neon / Sunset / Till Dawn Frame by frame we're drenched in dreams Wild like fire and pale as cream Save for windy desert rides we're Kept apart / by the moon and the tides Tell me your film type Show me your ISO Tell me bout your aperture Show me your shutter speed You're my / Ideal lighting lover

about

Drenched in reverb, this seven album solo debut songs span from psychedelic dreampop to maximalist witchwave. Astra Pentaxia wrote these songs in her colorfully painted home "The Rainbow Manor" between 2016-2017.

about

Astra Pentaxia Berlin, Germany

US-born and Berlin-based alto singer and synthwitch Astra Pentaxia prefers the term ‘maximalist rainbowgoth’ for her music. Drawing influences from early synthpop à la Depeche Mode, Astra also incorporates theatrical props into her live shows. Sometimes it's a stoplight but if you're lucky, it's a bird clock. ... more
